Cole Hauser’s wife, Cynthia Daniel, is an American actress and photographer. She is the twin sister of actress Brittany Daniel and is best known for her role as Elizabeth Wakefield in the 1990s syndicated teen drama Sweet Valley High.

Daniel was born in Gainesville, Florida, in 1976. She and her sister began their acting careers in the early 1990s, appearing in commercials and television shows.

In 1994, they were cast as the twins Elizabeth and Jessica Wakefield in Sweet Valley High. The show was a huge success, and Daniel and her sister became teen idols.

She Has a Twin Sister

Cynthia shares a close bond with her twin sister, Brittany. The sisters’ relationship has remained strong over the years, a testament to which is their shared Instagram page and their collaborative lifestyle blog, The Sweet Life.

The blog, often seen as two blogs in one due to the sisters’ distinctive takes, features a myriad of topics, including recipes, fashion and beauty advice, and even photography tips from Cynthia herself.

The sisters also dedicated a throwback page on their blog to their ‘Sweet Valley High’ days.

In a heartfelt demonstration of sisterly love, Cynthia donated her eggs to Brittany after the latter was diagnosed with stage IV non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma and was told she might not be able to have children.

On Oct. 24, 2021, Brittany and her husband Adam Touni welcomed their daughter Hope Rose Touni, a symbol of the strong bond the sisters share.

Cynthia and Her Twin Sister Are Cancer Advocates

Following Brittany’s cancer diagnosis, Cynthia and her sister became prominent advocates for cancer awareness. They attended multiple Stand Up To Cancer events, raising awareness about the disease and sharing their personal journey with the world.

Cynthia considers the challenging experience a transformative one, making her “braver and stronger.”

Cynthia Daniel’s Acting Career

Cole Hauser isn’t the only actor in his family. Cynthia Daniel had a career as a child actor, most notably starring in Sweet Valley High.

From 1994-1997, Daniel starred as Elizabeth ‘Liz’ Wakefield in Sweet Valley High. She starred alongside her twin sister, Brittany Daniel, who played Jessica “Jess” Wakefield in the show.

The sisters took home the 1995 Young Artist Award for Best Performance: Young Actress in a TV Comedy Series for their roles in Sweet Valley High.

Daniel also appeared in The New Leave It to Beaver (1989), The Basketball Diaries (1995) and That ’80s Show. In 2002, she retired from acting but returned to the big screen for Cheaper by the Dozen (2022) alongside her twin sister.

At age 11, the Daniel twins began modeling for the Ford Agency, appearing in YM and Sassy magazines. They also appeared in ads for Doublemint gum as the Doublemint Twins.

She Transitioned From an Actress to a Photographer

Following her hiatus from acting, Cynthia found a new passion in photography. She is now a professional photographer and the owner of Five Arrows Photography.

On her business’s website, Cynthia shares her philosophy: “My name is Cynthia, but most people call me Cyn. My kids would say I think everything is beautiful… well they’re right. I see beauty pretty much in everyone and everything … As we all know time passes quickly. I feel honored to help freeze some of those precious moments.”

Cynthia specializes in a range of photographic genres, including family, wedding, lifestyle, and celebrity photography.

She is Cole Hauser’s ‘Rock’

Cynthia is often referred to as Cole’s “rock,” a testament to their strong and enduring relationship. Despite the challenges of spending months apart due to Cole’s filming schedules, the couple makes a point to spend quality time together.

Speaking about their relationship in November 2020, Cole said, “We’ve been together for 25 years. Through so many wonderful ups and downs as relationships do. We’ve stayed strong together and just battled through everything and still love each other.”

Cole Hauser and Cynthia Daniel have three children. Their first son, Ryland, was born in 2004, their second son, Colt, was born in 2004 and their daughter Steely Rose was born in 2012.

“I am pretty good about compartmentalizing working and family. I am always making time for each and every one of my children and also my wife, also, as a family together. I am good about making time for the whole family. You have to figure that balance out. But as a father and a husband you have to make the time and work just as hard at it,” Hauser told the Havok Journal.

It is clear the Hauser family is tight-knit and enjoys spending quality time with each other. The family even visits Hauser on the set of Yellowstone when possible, showing their support and love for him.
