After a much-anticipated wait, 1923 returned on February 5, with episode five. The action-packed episode introduced us to a new character, Captain Lucca.
Spencer and Alexandra decide to make their way to Montana in response to Cara’s plea for help. However, finding a fast and safe boat to take them to America proves to be a tricky task.
Fortunately, they come across a man named Captain Lucca who is willing to take them on the voyage.
Captain Lucca is traveling through the Suez Canal with his tugboat and needs deckhands for the journey. Spencer offers to work in exchange for passage through the Suez Canal.
The tugboat captain Lucca in 1923 is played by Peter Stormare. Throughout his acting career, Stormare is famous for playing character actors.
Peter Stormare is a Swedish-American actor and musician born on August 27, 1953, in Kumla, Sweden. He has an estimated net worth of $5 million.
Stormare grew up in Sweden and began his acting career at the Royal National Theatre of Sweden, where he performed for 11 years.
In 1990, he became the Associate Artistic Director at the Tokyo Globe Theatre. During this time, he directed productions of many Shakespeare plays.
In 1993, Stormare moved to New York and began his acting career in America. He still acts in both American and Swedish films. In addition to being a successful stage and screen actor, Stormare is also a talented playwright and theater director.
Stormare has also done voice acting work for video games. He also is part of a band called Blonde from Fargo and has appeared in various music videos for Swedish actors.
Stormare is married to Toshimi Stormare and they have one daughter together, Kaiya Bella Luna Stormare. He also has a daughter Kelly from his previous marriage.
The couple resides in Los Angeles, California, as Stormare has dual citizenship in Sweden and America.

In episode five of 1923, Captain Lucca frequently coughs, even coughing up blood at times. It is clear that Captain Lucca’s health is failing.
Spencer eventually finds Captain Lucca dead right before the tugboat crashes into a ghost ship. While there is no confirmation as to what his cause of death was, it is clear his bad health caught up to him.
There are a few different things that Captain Lucca could have been sick with. Since he was coughing up blood, he could have had tuberculosis or even lung cancer as he was a chain smoker.
There is also the possibility he had a bad case of pneumonia that was made worse by his smoking habits.
If he did have tuberculosis then Alexandra and Spencer could be in trouble, as the disease can be deadly without treatment. This would be yet another thing for the couple to worry about, as their fate is unknown from the crash.
