Who is Timothy Reynolds? Yellowstone Tribute Explained

Yellowstone season 5 episode 5 saw emotions boil over at the Dutton Ranch as Beth and Summer Higgins had a physical confrontation while the ranch crew was making preparations to gather cattle that had been left to graze over the winter.

The episode ended with John Dutton leading many of the ranch crew out in the early morning to start the gathering.

With tensions high and the Dutton enemies mounting up, there are a couple more thrilling episodes left in part 1 of season 5.

At the end of episode 5, a tribute was shown that reads “In Memory of Timothy Reynolds”. Hence, rousing the audience’s interest as to who the individual may be.

For longtime viewers of the Yellowstone franchise from Paramount Network, you might have stumbled upon the name “Timothy Reynolds” in the show’s credits.

However, Timothy Reynolds’s name is not part of the main acting cast on Yellowstone.

So who is he exactly, and what is his contribution to the show?

Who Is Timothy Reynolds from Yellowstone?

Timothy ‘Tim’ Reynolds was a technician who worked behind the scenes in Yellowstone as an electrician and ‘Best Boy Sound Lighting Tech’. He died on August 24, 2022.

For those who do not know this film industry terminology, the best boy is a senior electrician in the crew. He is mainly responsible for the lighting. A significant element that gives life to the show’s ambiance.

Timothy gave life to so many films with his expertise as a technician. His portfolio of incredible works is the 2018 thriller and horror movie “Hereditary,” “John Carter” (2012), as well as working with famous Hollywood star Johnny Depp’s “Lone Ranger” in 2013. 

Aside from being involved in television productions as an electrician and technician, Timothy also works on concerts as well as theater productions. However, his contribution to the film industry was cut short sooner than expected.

His works behind the scenes will forever be remembered. Not only in Yellowstone but by everyone he has worked within the industry.

Timothy Reynolds Had Worked For Hollywood Since 1997

Timothy Reynold’s first career job was as a stockbroker, but later on, realized that his calling was in the entertainment industry as part of the production crew.

“Tim (Senior) was my best friend and a father figure to me. He brought me into Utah with open arms and created so many relationships that created the man I am today. You will be missed so much Timmy. I love you, brother.”

Was Timothy Reynolds in Yellowstone?

Timothy Reynolds never got to star in the Yellowstone series as a cast or as an extra. Rather, he starred behind the scenes as an electrician and technician. He dedicated his fields of expertise and craft to production. 

Timothy Reynold is an important member of the show, not in front of the cameras but behind the scenes.
