Though a relatively rare color, there have been some stunning palomino horses that have left their mark on the equine world.
Trigger
Considered by many to be the most iconic horse from old Hollywood, Trigger was the beautiful palomino stallion of movie star Roy Rogers. Trigger knew over 100 tricks which he would regularly perform on-screen, earning him the title “the smartest horse in movies.”
Originally named Golden Cloud, his sire was a Thoroughbred and his dam was believed to be a Quarter horse cross. The original Trigger is said to have appeared alongside Roy Rogers in every film, however, there were also other horses that played Trigger as well, including Trigger Jr.
Bamboo Harvester
Bamboo Harvester played the beloved role of Mister Ed in the TV series of the same name. The gorgeous palomino was a Saddlebred/Half-Arabian cross.
