While not on set in Yellowstone, Kevin Costner spends his days on his lavish ranch. The ranch is located in Independence Pass, on the foot of the Elk Mountain Range of Aspen, Colorado.
He turned the property into his “Dunbar” ranch, a name he took after the film he starred in as Lieutenant Dunbar from the 1990’s movie “Dances with Wolves.”
In addition to the luxurious residences, a large baseball field, sledding hill, pool, and ice rink were built inside the property, showcasing the sheer size of the Yellowstone actor’s land.

Kevin Costner lives in the 160-acre Dunbar ranch in Colorado with his wife, Christine Baumgartner, and three kids.
The actor also owns an oceanfront perch in Carpenteria, California. The 10-acre Santa-barbara area has a private beach with stunning mountain views.

How Much Is It To Rent Kevin Costner’s Ranch?
Kevin Costner’s Dunbar Ranch is available to rent for $36,000 per night when Costner is not living there. The price includes the entire property, but the Dunbar website also offers a host of other rental options, including renting just one of the residences or two of the three.
The Dunbar website also has other rental options that include one, two, or three houses on the property. The ranch living area is 5,800 sq. ft; it has 12 beds, 8 baths, 3 hot tubs and can accommodate 27 people.
Moreover, there is a minimum one-week stay at the ranch.
Private events at the Dunbar ranch start from $350,000. The stunning mountain views make it perfect for private and intimate events such as weddings and parties.
Private personnel and staff are also on the ranch to give guests a wonderful stay, such as a ski instructor, driver, chef, personal trainer, and assistant, amongst other things.

Main Residence
In the year 2000, Kevin Costner purchased land in Aspen, Colorado, where Dunbar ranch now stands. The ranch has three residences—the main, river, and lake house.
The main house has six bedrooms, six bathrooms, a big kitchen, a dining area, and other necessary facilities. However, what sets the main house apart from the other houses are the trap doors located all over the home.
One trapdoor inside the master bedroom lets guests access not one but three hot tubs.
That’s not all, another trapdoor can be found hidden by the floorboards of the same room. This leads to a jacuzzi overlooking the waterfalls and a gorgeous mountain view.
Moreover, it features some of the most breathtaking and mind-boggling assets that are completely out of the ordinary.
Lake House
The lake house features two lakes where a lot of water-related activities can be done. Aside from that, 12 rooms are accessible in this residence.
River House
The river house is the actor’s favorite residence of the three houses. It can be found near the bank of the Roaring Fork River. Like the main house, six rooms are available in the home.
Private Events
The ranch also offers a pool, ice rink, baseball field, and sledding hill.

Stunning properties blending into jaw-dropping scenery and marvellous to think actual people can go and stay there when the Costner family aren't there(if that's true). I love the Yellowstone story and also would love to see the Yellowstone 150 series, but don't have Fox access here in Birmingham England. I think its a shame its not on National Geographic channel on Sky because its historic and geographical, as well as having Kevin Costner in it! I watched the other documentary about following in the path of the 2 Americans who canoed down the Colorado River, which was fascinating, so don't think people over here in England don't want to see these things.People of my age (68) grew up watching the same TV shows from America with cowboys and Indians and its been fascinating to see there's definitely a truer story than what was portrayed back then and its so good these modern-day programmes are revealing the truth.I would like to know where did the First Nation people come from? Did they migrate North for food, or South because it was too cold, how did their ancestors get there way before 1800's?
I love Yellowstone and have since watched a lot of Mr. Costner's films, like Silverado(yep, they even put that on Sky films the other day),Dances with Wolves, I loved the Postman and Waterworld & Tin Cup...lol...even Robin Hood, its the romance that matters to women with more dodgy husbands , not the accent. Its making me sad to see Mr. Costner in Series 5 stuck in the suit at the boring political events.... he looks much happier on a horse, being John Dutton the Rancher.I hope Yellowstone will continue and I hope when Mr. Costner is way past horse riding, in the future, that he will have grandchildren by then in his real life because they just really give you a rejuvenating jolt and circle your life round to let you know all the hard work has really been worth it- whoever you are on the Planet.It also gives you the dilemma as a grandparent, that John Dutton plays so well,of worrying about what your family will do with your empire(however small), but its a nice worry to have. Thank you Kevin Costner for all the romantic films for us women with not much romance in their lives, the comedic ones and the ones that really make you think and see history in another way.
