Amidst the vast array of shows on Netflix, Heartland stands out as a heartwarming Canadian family drama centered around horse ranching.
As the series continues to captivate global audiences, a prevailing question arises: How many seasons of Heartland are available on Netflix?
Navigating the streaming world can sometimes be perplexing, but this article is tailored to provide clear insights and answers regarding the show’s presence on the platform.
How Many Seasons of Heartland Are on Netflix?
Most countries currently have seasons 7-15 of Heartland on Netflix. However, in the United States, Netflix only has seasons 1-15, while Canadian Netflix also has Season 15.
Unfortunately for many viewers, Netflix recently removed most of the early seasons of Heartland. The countries affected include the United Kingdom, France, Greece, Turkey, Israel, Australia, South Africa, and some South American and Asian countries.
While this change is certainly disappointing to fans, there’s a good chance it may be temporary. Netflix US has previously removed seasons 1-3 of Heartland in 2019 only to add them back a few weeks later. Fingers crossed it won’t be long until we can binge those beloved early seasons again!

As for Season 15, the new episodes are now available on Netflix UK as of March 19, 2022. In the United States, the streaming giant is not expected to release the new season until early 2023. With that being said, the rest of the world should already be able to enjoy Heartland Season 15 on Netflix.
Where Can I Watch Previous Seasons of Heartland?
Besides Netflix, you can watch all 15 seasons of Heartland on the streaming platform Up Faith & Family. The first 13 seasons of the show are also available on Hulu and Amazon Prime Video.
Luckily, there are a number of online streaming services that have Heartland in their libraries. However, if you prefer the old-fashioned way, you can purchase seasons 1-13 on DVD here on Amazon. While this option is slightly more expensive, the episodes will be yours to keep forever.
Why Only Some Countries Have Heartland on Netflix
Like other TV shows, Heartland is not available to stream on all Netflix libraries. This is because Netflix imposes regional restrictions, also known as geoblocking, in some countries but not in others.
The good news is, there are ways to get around these restrictions. For example, you can try accessing the Netflix libraries of other countries via a Virtual Private Network (VPN).
While a VPN sometimes lets you stream your favorite show immediately, Netflix is actively trying to stop users from accessing other libraries. Therefore, you may have to try out a few different servers before you find one that works for a particular country. Nevertheless, it’s worth a shot.
For those wondering why it takes so long for new Heartland seasons to appear on Netflix, the Official Heartland Blog has all the answers. According to the Blog, new episodes often have to air in Canada first for a certain period of time before they can make it across the border.
What’s more, if a country’s TV network buys exclusive rights to broadcast the newest season of Heartland, Netflix cannot release the episodes until all have aired on that channel first. This exact scenario has happened with UPTV in the United States whose license is due to run out in March 2022.
Unfortunately, there are a lot of requirements that must be fulfilled before new Heartland content can reach viewers across the world.
