1923 has become the most recent prequel series to join the Yellowstone universe. The thrilling spin-off follows the Dutton family as they operate the Yellowstone Dutton Ranch in the early 20th century.

Season one of 1923 premiered on December 18, 2022. The first season features eight episodes with a new episode released weekly. 1923 has already been renewed for a second season of eight episodes.

Show creator Taylor Sheridan didn’t cut any corners when it comes to 1923. The series features a star-studded cast that includes Harrison Ford, Helen Mirren, Jennifer Ehle, James Badge Dale, and Jerome Flynn.

Just like the Dutton generation before them in 1883, this 1923 generation have already endured tragedy and hardship, most notably with the death of John Dutton I at the hands of Banner Creighton.

With others injured and the perpetrator still alive, the Duttons are out for revenge to protect their family and the ranch.

We can be sure the violence will only intensify in the second half of season, especially with Spencer’s imminent return from Africa.

When Will 1923 Return?

1923 is not on tonight and will be back on February 5, 2023, with episode 5.

Paramount+ has not given a reason as to why the series is taking a break. However, they did release a mid-season trailer that shows a glimpse of what is yet to come in the show.

The 1923 official Instagram account shared the trailer along with the caption “The story is far from over. #1923TV returns with all new episodes February 5, only on #ParamountPlus.”

Just like Yellowstone, 1923 is taking a mid-season break. However, the break for 1923 is much shorter than the break for Yellowstone, which won’t return until the summer of 2023.

Season one of 1923 still has four episodes remaining. While the schedule for the remaining episodes has not been released, it is likely that the remaining episodes will drop weekly each Sunday.

Here is the 1923 episode schedule:

When Will Season Two of 1923 Premiere?

While it has been confirmed that there will be a season two of 1923, there is no official release date yet. The second season is set to begin filming in the spring of 2023.

If 1923 follows in the footsteps of Taylor Sheridan’s other shows, the second season will likely premiere one year after the first season, which would be December 2023.

Just like the first season, the second season is set to have eight episodes.

I started watching Yellowstone last year, waiting for season 5. I have paramount hd. This year I didn’t get any episodes of season 5. I watched 2 episodes of 1923 now they are not on Paramount anymore. Why put it on Paramount last year and now take it away. What is the difference between paramount and paramount t

Loving these series and can’t wait for the new episodes. Filming on location in Montana is a bonus and a real visual treat. Thank you to all concerned.
